The transition accord, signed at the end of the administrative conference held on February 12, 2007 in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten is now on our website in English as well as Dutch. It regards agreements concerning: • the elucidation of the process up to the implementation of the constitutional changes; • the manner in which the process shall be guided; • the Social Economic Initiatives; • the debt restructuring and • a number of measures which shall be taken on the short term to support the country the Netherlands Antilles, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.

The closing statement related to the administrative discussions regarding the constitutional status of St. Maarten signed November 2nd, 2006 in The Hague, The Netherlands is now available in English and Dutch. The agreement also includes Curacao. The agreement covers the following areas: Judicial procedure and maintenance of law and order (Joint Court, Tracking and prosecution of criminal offences, Police, Prison System, Immigration Chain, Council for the maintenance of law and order, Cross-border criminality, Observing international obligations and supporting the legislative process). Finance (Debt restructuring, Financial management, Standards, Supervision during the transition period, Supervision in the new political structure, Monetary affairs, Social economic development), Evaluation, and Implementation.
