(GIS) The Constitutional Cultural Club (CCC) is starting off the New Year hitting the ground running. With close to 80 past members and almost half a decade of youth awareness projects, the CCC will continue to promote the nation's constitutional and cultural affairs locally and abroad.
Commissioner of Constitutional Affairs Sarah Wescot-Williams says it takes commitment for the CCC to get where it is today. The incumbent CCC President Nerissa Cornelia underscored the challenge ahead for the nation in the last few months before the Netherlands Antilles is officially dismantled and St. Maarten becomes an autonomous country. She was critical of residents not staying informed about constitutional change, but said she hoped CCC would continue to convey the importance of a knowledgeable populace. |
